Ferrari's Felipe Massa says he does not care about leading the World Championship at the moment. The Brazilian knows there is still a very long time until the end of the 2008 season and he refuses to get carried away with his lead and let his guard down. This is what Felipe had to say:

"It's nice to be leading the championship and to see your name at the top of the sheet, but to be honest, it means little at the moment and I have to concentrate on other things. There is still a very long way to go and being the leader changes nothing for me. I prefer to concentrate on my job and look at the testing and each race as it comes.

Only after all the races will we see if we did everything right. Sure, it's good to be first and to come to the next race, leading the series and having won the last race. It gives you a boost, but that only lasts until it's time to start practice again.

Massa for WDC.....(Sm128)

but Kimi, i guess, will start performing from now on......

we are in for a fight between the two......

don't think it will affect the WCC chances, until they drive insanely......and we still have the faster car.

nice to hear both drivers have similar mindset with regards to WDC position midway

it means they are focused on the job, the immediate race on hand

i supposed between them they says, may the best driver win the WDC

@Redline

I dont think it will be Kimi vs. Massa WDC fight. Unless Ferrari is superior.

WCC is looking easy but WDC is between 4 drivers: Kimi, Massa, Kubica and Hammi so when Kimi takes Massas points and vice-versa. Hammi and Kubica will get maximum points of Macca and BMW.

But like i said if Ferrari is superior in last part of the season it will be between Ferrari drivers. But i doubt it.

If they start taking points off each other, the team will have to make one support the other to ensure the WDC, like they did for Michael.

Massa isnt playing to the script, maybe the team need to let him go and bring in someone who will just be grateful to drive a ferrari and race for second place, letting kimi win.
