The Finnish striker joined the Owls last season for a fee of £1 million pounds and exploded into goal scoring form.
His goals virtually kept the Owls in the division in the latter stages and his hard work was vital to the team.
The hard work immediately endeared him to the Hillsborough faithful, a popular figure in the squad apparently too.
His aerial ability and bustling play are matched by few in the division but his goal scoring ability outside of the box has as best been described as … dodgy. But in the six yard area he is as predatory as they come.
This season though he has come under a fair bit of pressure from fans and the manager alike but just as he was being questioned he answered in the best way possible, with goals.
A brace against Wolves at Molineux and then the 2nd goal in the win V the Blades put him back in the headlines.
If it’s a hardworking goal grabber you are after Shefki is the man.
